InvenTech

InvenTech was an incredibly fun camp for a few extraordinary students. The girls really jumped into the program and invented some really cool products. But InvenTech wasn’t just about inventing new and useful products; it was also about having a lot of fun while doing it. The girls were able to learn how to think creatively through many different games. Once the students came up with ideas for their projects they were able to go to a local hardware store and get the products necessary for building a prototype. This process alone required creative thought as they had to use products designed for one purpose in a whole new way. Once the prototypes were made the students learned how to effectively sell those products through the use of infomercials. Each group created their own 1-2 minute commercial selling their products. The program was designed for students to come have fun and learn some really cool stuff, as you can see from the photos and videos from InvenTech, it was very effective.
