Summer Assistant
Tincan is seeking an individual to assist in our teen summer camps and teacher workshops this summer. Our camps range from science and video game development to video production. They are week long, hands-on experiences, and run from 9-5 each day. The tasks you would do are varied, from helping set up equipment to keeping teens on task and answering questions. Summer Video Journalism Institute Team Assistant
Tincan is seeking four video enthusiasts to assist in our high school journalism institute this summer. The institute will teach basic video journalism skills to 20 teens through a hyper-local news gathering project in Spokane. It will run four weeks, June 23rd through July 18th. Team assistants will work with a team leader and five students as a news production team, helping teach skills and covering news in one local neighborhood each week. Summer Video Journalism Institute Team Leader
Tincan is seeking three video professionals to assist in our high school journalism institute this summer. The institute will work with Tincan staff to help teach basic video journalism skills to 20 teens through a hyper-local news gathering project in Spokane. Tincan staff will provide curriculum and daily activities, and leaders and assistants will help facilitate those activities. The institute will run four weeks, June 23rd through July 18th. Team leaders, with the help of a team assistant, will be in charge of a group of five students as a news production team, helping teach skills and covering news in one local neighborhood each week. Some days the team leader will drive students in a rental car to and from locations to cover stories. Click here for a full description.
